The Leflaive family celebrated its 300th anniversary in Puligny-Montrachet in 2017. This is why the Domaine wanted to commemorate this rare event on its labels.

Traces of the Leflaive family can be found up to the 16th century. The records show that, in the year 1580, a Marc Le Flayve lived in Cissey, near Beaune. A few generations later, in 1717, it is Claude Leflaive, parishioner of Demigny, who moved to Puligny. It's the beginning of a family saga of which I (Brice) am the 19th generation!

The tercentenary labels are framed with gold, the appellations written in black cursive script and the anniversary dates in gold.

Only Grands Crus (Montrachet, Chevalier-Montrachet, Bâtard-Montrachet, Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet) carry the labels of the tercentenary. To these is added the Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Pucelles for its extraordinary expression, its delicacy and its length in mouth, which definitely classifies it in the category of the very finest wines.
